Founder & CEO
JT Guerrero, Ph.D.
JT Guerrero, Ph.D., is the founder and CEO of Equalyx, LLC, an educational consulting firm dedicated to helping students and their families plan for college. With over 20 years of experience in corporate, K-12, and higher education sectors, Dr. Guerrero has provided leadership and strategic advising to students, families, schools, school boards, and university leaders to foster student success.
Dr. Guerrero has consulted with notable organizations such as The College Board, the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP), K-12 schools and districts, and state departments of education. She has presented at numerous workshops and conferences, equipping parents and educators with effective strategies, techniques, and best practices in college planning and credit transfer.
In her previous roles in higher education admissions and as a director of pre-college credit programs including Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement, Dr. Guerrero gained valuable insight into the challenges and complexities students face in earning college credits. She recognized the need for more equitable access to accelerated programs and has made it her mission to raise awareness of their potential to save time and money toward college graduation. She leads a team of educational experts focused on student accessibility, credit transferability, and affordability.
Dr. Guerrero holds a B.A. in journalism from Louisiana State University, an M.A. in English education from Delta State University, and a Ph.D. in educational leadership, evaluation, and organizational development, with a concentration in higher education administration, from the University of Louisville.
